I was apprehensive at first since I’ve never used a quilt bag before. Not only is this bag super light weight for as thin as it is, it kept me quite toasty up in the Sierras mountains! Zippered foot-end helps since I always hate when I wake up my feet are sticking out of the bag.Impressed to say the least, granted cost may seem high but I’ve looked at REI bags and checked around for 850 fill w/DownTek and you’ll be surprised at the cost. This one is cheaper and local made.Note: wish I could roll up as tight to fit back into the carry sleeve? But since it’s so lightweight you can easily stuff it back in lol.

There is nothing about this quilt I dislike! Its a setup for hammock camping, but I used it last night over a foam mat, and an air mattress. This quilt kept me nice and toasty. This quilt has water repellent stuff on it because I had some dew inside the tent and saw that this quilt just rolled it off. The best thing about this is its super lightweight and it rolls down in to a small bag making it my go-to (I plan on using this with a poncho liner.) I will say that this quilt is pricy, but for what it is and it's ability to be used with a hammock this quilt to me is worth the money. I'm rating this lightweight down quilt a five out of five! My plan is to use this bag for car camping in the cold weather so I like that it can be unclipped and flipped to use as a cover as well as a sleeping bag.. It takes up very little space when packed, is extremely easy to roll and pack back into the bag, comfortable and lightweight yet warm so would also be an excellent backpacking sleeping bag. I ordered the larger size so my 6’ tall husband could use it too but I think we could have ordered a regular size. In the photo you can see how the bag is extra long and drapes over the end of a queen sized bed. An excellent well constructed bag.

I ordered this for my husband since he always teases me about how obsessed I am with my sleeping bag blanket. I definitely prefer camping quilts to sleeping bags since they offer me more freedom to reposition as I sleep. This camping quilt caught my eye because it's roomy enough for my husband and has a lot of cool features that mine doesn't. I like how everything has a place, it comes with a bag for the straps to hold it to a sleeping pad. It gives you options, you can use it as a normal blanket or zip up the bottom and pull the drawstring closed to keep your toes warm. The down filling makes this super lightweight, soft and warm. It's extremely well made and reasonably priced. My husband no longer teases me about my sleeping bag quilt and I'm pretty sure he's expecting me to steal this one!

I’ve used this quilt on multiple trips, and it has consistently kept me comfy and warm, without making me feel constricted.Compact and Lightweight:This quilt is incredibly compact and lightweight, making it ideal for backpacking. It fluffs up quickly after being compressed, and the included stuff sack is small yet easy to use, ensuring I can pack it down without any hassle.Versatility:The quilt can lay flat, and I appreciate the two elastic straps that secure it to my sleeping pad, preventing it from slipping around during the night. You can also keep it clipped semi-closed, and the foot section zips up to create a foot pouch, which is great for avoiding drafts. If you have had a down quilt before, you know the sticker shock can be real, and at $229 for the regular size at the time of this writing, I think this is a good deal.

Warmth: Used this quilt for the first time with temps in the 40s and extremely damp outside and I was toasty. Loft was great and there were no cold spots.Pad: I used it with an REI Helix Long/Wide pad and the large quilt and straps sealed very well around the pad on the sides and there was no draft.Fit: I am 6 ft tall and over 200 pounds and bought the large. It was plenty big enough and I think I may have been ok with the smaller size. The draft collar at the top does a great job of cinching around my shoulders and to the side of the pad. The drawstring is located in the middle of the top of the quilt which is a bit odd but it does make it easy to cinch. I didn't have an issue with the small hole at the bottom as it cinched up very well.PROBLEM: Straps: The included straps work well but they are not robust. On my third night using the quilt, the one buckle broke. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the strap buckle quality. It's not a difficult fix in the field and may see if I could figure out a better permanent solution.Overall I would highly recommend this quilt especially for the price and insulation performance.

This is an excellent backpacking quilt. It is light and compresses small. I like the lower zipper, and included straps. I slept in below freezing temperatures this weekend and the quilt preformed extraordinary. Highly recommend this as part of your sleep system.

This is top of the line fill -- and you can tell just by pulling it out of the sack -- it is incredibly light and still super fluffy. Can convert into a blanket, or a bag, versatile.

This is not infant an actual mummy sack. It is more like a snuggy sack. It has a partial zipper and buttons to connect the sides, both ends are open as well. No noticeable smell, very lightweight. Had I known it wasn’t an actual mummy sleeping bag I probably wouldn’t purchase again.

Camping quilts have become quite popular recently for lightweight camping and they are nice in milder temperatures. This quilt while cozy, I wouldn't take it anywhere near freezing temperatures without an additional sleeping bag. The open bag is nice for not squishing the down inside, but it also quite large and not snug which means more heat loss unless you are a nice still back sleeper. A nice 3 season alternative to a sleeping bag, sure. The down is odd as well. As a winter camper good quality down isn't usually as dark as this, and you do get higher loft, maybe the fill power is lower. Also, the quilt is see through, as in the fabrics allows you to see the down quite clearly which is unusual for any high quality quilt/bag I've owned. I will update after a few trips if anything changes, but I think this is nice mid-quality 3 season quilt.

So far I really like this down quilt. It seems well made and is warm. You can make it almost like a sleeping bag, but it definitely wouldn't be a standalone cover in chilly weather. It comes with straps so you can, I think, use it as a under quilt with a hammock, although I haven't been hammock camping for a while. Overall I like it a lot so far!

2 Strikes upfront, included stuff sack is not a compression sack. Although small pack size, no additional compression. Second thing, no storage bag. You'll need to add a mesh storage bag to this purchase to keep the quilt in a loftier state for storage. Otherwise, freaking fantastic quilt. Warm, soft, well made. Its great. My gripes are small and by far no deal breaker.

Used it for my latest camp out. It wasn't that cold but I can tell that this bag will keep you warm to quite some extend. Amazing how light weight and compact it is - which is perfect for hiking combined with camping. One small challenge was to get it properly rolled up to fit in the bag again. It fulfills my needs and surely meets my expectations.

I wasn’t sure what this was until I opened it. I expected a classic sleeping bag but itwas not that. Had I read the product description and reviewed the photo more carefully, I would have figured it out; make sure you do that.It is essentially an open quilt with down filling. You can kinda close the opening with little waferclasps. The feet portion is box-shaped with a zipper closure. The bottom of the foot portion hasa drawstring closure which one can adjust for venting as needed. And, yes, it is astonishingly light. It's the weight of a wad of paper but is incredibly warm.I have recently been sleeping on the couch as I’ve had surgery. I use the Moondance as a baseon which to lie and cover the top with a blanket. We keep our home at about 66F and thisarrangement provides plenty of warmth.I will bring this Moondance with me when I go camping in New England in the fall.

The benefits of using a sleeping quilt vs a sleeping bag is that the back of a sleeping bag that you're laying on is just wasted bulk and weight because the insulation is ineffective when it's compressed and not lofty. This quilt has two elastic sleeping pad straps for securing this quilt to your inflatable sleeping pad which ate designed to prevent any unwanted cold air drafts. This quilt has an ISO temperature rating that states a comfortable temperature rating of 36 degrees Fahrenheit and a limit temperature rating of 26 degrees Fahrenheit. The foot end of this quilt can be cinched with a drawstring to created a closed foot box. The extra step of treating the down feathers with "DownTek" means that it's less likely to loose it's insulation properties if it gets wet; which could become a dangerous situation leading to hypothermia. This sleeping quilt would be a great option for backpacking because of how lightweight this quilt is and how compact it can become when compressed. The stuff sack that comes with this quilt is just a basic drawstring bag and I will be replacing it with a waterproof Sea To Summit eVac dry bag which will keep any moisture from getting to the quilt and allow any excess air to be compressed and evacuated out to create a overall more compact size. I would recommend this product.
