Warranty
All Featherstone products are backed with a limited lifetime manufacturing warranty to the original owner. The warranty guarantees that your tent arrives free from defects such as parts and workmanship. If your poles break or the tent comes apart from a loose seam, we’ll repair or replace it.
We devote a lot of time and effort on our goods, but bear in mind that every product has a useful lifetime. The length of that usable product's lifetime will vary based on how it was built and the materials used, but also on the maintenance and care the product receives from you, as well as the quantity and type of usage the product is subjected to during its life.
The warranty does not cover issues that come from wear and tear such as deterioration of the DWR coating, punctures, or tears from abrasion. Damage due to misuse, improper care, or wear and tear can be repaired and replaced at Featherstone for a reasonable charge under the discretion of Featherstone. Customers will be responsible for shipping charges related to the repairs.
Rental Company Usage: Our warranty does not cover products that have been used for rental purposes for profit. This includes gear used by rental companies to generate income. If the product is intended for rental use, please contact us to discuss specific warranty arrangements.
International Orders: Warranties are valid for products purchased and used within the United States. International orders may be subject to different terms and conditions. Please contact us for information on warranties for products shipped outside the United States.
Donations: Products acquired through donations are not covered by our standard warranty. If you have received a product as a donation and require warranty information, please reach out to us for clarification.
Repairs
At Featherstone Outdoor, we understand that outdoor gear can undergo wear and tear. To ensure the longevity of our products, we may offer a repair service in-house or through Rugged Thread, an authorized repair partner. Please read the following repair policy carefully:
- Initiating a Repair: Customers are responsible for shipping their items to Featherstone Outdoor for repair. To initiate a repair, please contact our customer support team at service@featherstoneoutdoor.com for instructions.
- Repair Timeframe: Repairs typically take 3-4 weeks, depending on the availability of parts. We strive to complete repairs promptly, and we appreciate your patience during this process.
- Return Shipping: Featherstone Outdoor covers the cost of shipping the repaired item back to the customer. Once the repair is complete, we will arrange for the return shipping. Please ensure that your contact information is accurate to facilitate the return process.
- Warranty Duration: The warranty for a repaired item is limited to 1 year from the date of the repair. This means that any issues arising from the repair are covered within this 1-year period.
- Expiration of Warranty: After the 1-year warranty period following the repair, the product is no longer eligible for warranty coverage. Any subsequent issues or damages will be considered outside the scope of the warranty for the product.
- It is the responsibility of the customer to ship the item to Featherstone Outdoor for repair.
- Please ensure that the item is clean before sending it for repair.
- The warranty on the original product still applies to issues not related to the repair.
- For gear with multiple components, please only send the part that needs the repair.
